Diversity

The concept of diversity assists us in recognizing and embracing our individual differences but also moving beyond them. Students learn through diversity that although we all have our own unique perspectives on the world, there is strength in acknowledging our common humanity. Only by working together can we create a society where everyone is treated with respect and security. Schools are a great location to learn and practice these abilities. There are many ways in which students may engage in discussions on how to understand a more diverse society that recognizes the importance of variety, promotes community, and cultivates empathy. Students' eyes will be opened, their advantages reflected upon, and their understanding of other people, viewpoints, and cultures broadened by the materials we've selected below, which emphasize the tremendous variety of our globe. Some of these selections will also encourage perspective-taking and honesty in students, placing them on the road toward social engagement and change.
