New Zealand: Student Fight Leads To A Weapon Being Drawn

During a dispute two Ōtāhuhu students earlier this week, a weapon was drawn and held to a young woman’s head.

Two school-aged girls may be seen arguing and tugging each other’s hair. A throng of people can be heard shouting around the two as they continue to fight.

One individual shouts, “Motherf***er!”

A lady is seen later in the film clutching what looks to be a pistol.

While yelling at her, she raises the pistol and points it towards a person dressed in a green sweater.

The lady with the pistol cries, “You touch my sister again, touch her, touch her!”

She then moves over to the green-clad woman and places the pistol to her head.

The lady cries, “Get the f*** out of here right now!” while still clutching the pistol.

The brawl, according to the Herald, took place on Thursday afternoon.

The video was brought to the school’s attention on Saturday, according to Principal Neil Watson, and police are now investigating.

He had no idea if the pistol on the video was real or not.

On Thursday afternoon, just after 4 p.m., police received a complaint of a disturbance event in Otahuhu, according to a police spokesman.

“It was a report of a group of people fighting. Inquiries are underway to speak to those involved to establish the circumstances.”

After watching the event, a mom from the school reported the footage to the Herald, fearing for her children’s safety.

“I am keeping my child at home until I hear back from the school that this has been resolved and some sort of consequences is there with these students.”

Watson claimed the school had not yet sent out any messages to parents when asked if that was the case.

“We have a member of the public with what looks like a firearm. We’re helping the police with their inquiries, and our priority is the safety and security of our families and students.”
