Graduating Students From Barnsdall High School In Tulsa Surprised Their Teacher With A Visit

Several Barnsdall High School graduates donned their caps and gowns and drove 45 minutes to Tulsa to ensure that their teacher would still be there for their momentous occasion.

Barnsdall High School is fortunate to have Mr. Kent Carver on staff as an English teacher. He underwent open heart surgery and is now recuperating at Saint Francis Hospital. His students did not want him to be absent from any of the graduation celebrations, so on Sunday they brought all the pomp and ceremony to him.

“We love Mr. Carver!!!” is one of the many heartfelt responses to the video uploaded by his sister on Facebook, which has already garnered more than 2,500 views.  As a teacher at BHS, he has a profound impact on the lives of many students.
