Vaping Giant Settles Lawsuits Accusing Them Of Marketing To Minors

The vaping giant did not reveal the total amount of the settlements, but did say that they “represent a major step in strengthening Juul Labs’ operations and securing the company’s path forward.”

Some of the complaints were filed as class action lawsuits on behalf of consumers, while others were submitted by government agencies or Native American tribes.

After the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) determined that Juul had failed to address safety concerns, the FDA banned the sale of all Juul products in the United States, and the firm has since been fighting for survival.

Though it has filed an appeal, the company revealed last month that it would be laying off 400 workers and slashing its operating budget by as much as 40 percent.
