After a student carried a gun into the school earlier this week, the school principal has promised to increase security. On Monday, a 15-year-old Curie High School student was apprehended and charged, according to police.
As students are obliged to pass through metal detectors, it is unclear how the weapon entered the school.
The Archer Heights school’s principal, Curie, has vowed to strengthen security at the school by adding extra cameras and alarms on the doors, as well as increasing the number of employees. Curie’s next council meeting is Tuesday night.
